Here you can view our goals and why we chose Deity as our cattery theme!   Why Deity Originating between five and six thousand years ago the Egyptian civilization viewed the domesticated cats in awe.  Even regarding them as godlike.  Cat's became animals of great respect when Egyptian's, near famine from loss of grain to mice and rats, were saved by the cat's excellent mouse hunting abilities.  So deeply respected, they were often mummified and even buried in great tombs with their owners.  In Egyptian society, cats, as manifestations of deity, were sacred.  It was considered a high crime to kill a cat, punishable by death.  Families owning cats took great care that their cats received attention and respect. From this history of the domesticated cats, our respect for our cats has become our cattery name and part of our goals. As F-1 Bengal Breeders/Early Generation Bengal Breeders, our goals here at Deity Cattery are:    To raise healthy, happy, and well socialized F-1/Early Generation Bengal kittens. To raise F-1/Early Generation Bengals that look as close to the Asian Leopard Cat as possible in order to retain the stunning beauty of the ALC. To produce the best possible F-1/Early Generation Bengal kittens at a reasonable price. To support and promote other Foundation/Early Generation Bengal Breeders. To expose people to the joy and unique experience of owning an intelligent, loving, and intense cat; such as an F-1/Early Generation Bengal or Chausie. To be an Early Generation Chausie/Jungle Cat Hybrid Breeder that produces Chausies/Jungle Cat  Hybrids that most closely resembles the Jungle Cat, but also has the domesticated personality.
